Report on FCA Alumni Picnic 2016
Recently Alumni Association of FCA organized picnic in order to cherish the moments of all alumni members. The picnic was organized on 09-Oct-2016 (Sunday) which started at 6 am in the morning. Picnic was organized only for registered members of FCA Alumni Association.
Picnic was organized for Jatashankar and Welington Dam which belongs to Junagadh city of Gujarat State.
Jatashankar : Hair loom of Loard Shiva is the meaning of Jatashankar. Situated on the rear stair case of mount Girnar, this place is covered in dense forest and green hills. There a water stream comes directly on the "Shivling" being continuous water bath. This is the place from where river Sonrekh originates. there is a water fall of about 20 feet on this river near this
place.
Willingdon Dam : The dam is built on the river Kalwa at the foot of the hill from where it originates. It was built as a reservoir for drinking water for the people of Junagadh. It was named after Lord Willingdon, the then Governor of India. Near the dam, the steps go up to 2,779 feet (847 m) high to the famous shrine of Jamiyalshah Datar, where both Hindu and Muslim devotees share their faith.
Total around 42 students took part in the picnic which includes some local students also. There was no charge for students in order to attend the picnic. FCA Alumni Association organized the same in order to motivate student for annual gathering apart from Alumnight.

“Picnic is a source of pleasure. Everybody has a fascination for enjoying the picnic. Sometime, it is important to spend time with friends and college faculty members and the best way of this is to have this type of picnic with friends and faculty members.

Prof. Vivek Gondalia, Coordinator of FCA Alumni Association organized the whole picnic right from the beginning of its inception. Prof. Nilesh Advani, Team Leader of Alumni Association and Prof. Amit Gohel joined the picnic on that day.
