It started with the prayer by students and Prof. Jayashree S.N. which was then followed by lighting of lamps by parents of our new coming students. There was a bouquet presentation to all the respected dignitaries. A short welcome speech was dictated by Mr. Sunil Bajeja, MCA Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Faculty of Computer Applications.
A very wonderful and motivating speech was given by Dr. Y. P. Kosta, Director, MEFGI. He made students understand how they can reach success and how to have faith in ones own self. A very stirring speech with various encouraging short stories was given by Dr. R. Sridaran, Dean, FCA, MEFGI. He introduced all the faculties of MCA and promised all parents to serve and provide all possible knowledge and value additions to their sons/daughters.
Mr. Sanjiv Erry, Vice President, Training and Information Placement Officer, MEFGI, Mr. Kaushik Rao, Head, Library, MEFGI, carried out presentations on Training and Placement prospective and Library information respectively.
The session ended with a campus visit for all the new coming students. A parents-faculty meet was organized for all the parents where they can clear their doubts if any. The whole program was anchored by a student Jismy Varghese. It was declared that their curriculum would start from 6th August, 2013 at regular time.
