FOR MANAGEMENT STUDENTS: 2015 BATCH.
Faculty of Management (MBA/PGDM) - an integral part of the Technical Campus – MEFGI – is known for introducing several innovative events over the years which are being continued successfully year-after-year. 100% placements since inception is the bench mark of the MBA Department.
The Placement Team of the Institute has successfully organized an exclusive & innovative event – PLACEMENT WEEK - the first-ever event by any self-financed Technical Campus in the State exclusively for placement of Management students passing out in June 2015 in the campus premises from 5th to 12th January 2015. This sole purpose of this event was to providing a plethora of job opportunities for the 2015 passing out students of MBA/PGDM in the specialization areas of Finance, Marketing, HR, IT and International Business from reputed organizations.
52 companies have visited the campus for meeting their recruitment needs over the weeklong activity comprising of pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, group discussions, personal interviews and final selection.
645+ positions were offered to 258 students (who opted for final placement) in the areas of Banking, Insurance, Stock Market/Securities, Mutual Funds, Commodities, FMCG, E-Business, Digital Marketing, Analysts, KPOs/BPOs, Automobiles, FMCG Products, B2B and B2C, Ceramics, HR Solutions, IT, Export-Import, Office Automation, Retail Marketing/Direct Marketing, etc., with lucrative packages.
The Event was a grand success as 201 students out of 258 students got placement (till middle of January 2015) with nearly 80% placement got over. The Placement Office has plans to complete the placement of all students by end of February 2015.
Some of the reputed organizations who conducted drives and offered placements included : KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK, IIFL, AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE, ISHA DEVELOPERS, HDFC BANK, INDIA MART, INFOCOMM INDIA, DHFL LIFE INSURANCE, ICICI PRUDENTIAL LIFE INSURANCE, PARLE FOODS, TIMES OF INDIA, RELIANCE FOOT PRINT, INFITINI RETAIL (CROMA), FUTURERETAIL (BIG BAZAAR), METHODEX SYSTEMS, and a host of others.
HR Meet 2014
Organizing various innovative events for the benefit of students, industry and society is a way of life at Marwadi Education Foundation. In continuation of this tradition and to take it further from where it was left after 1st successful HR Meet in 2013, Marwadi College has successfully organized an HR Meet 2014 on Sunday, 28th Sept. 2014 in its Campus.
This summit was aimed at Industry-Institute interface to bridge the gap by attempting to create a dynamic two way collaborative interface with the Industry. The meet was aimed at brainstorming on the expectation of the Industry from the students and various ways and means to reduce the time and money spent by Industry on making student Industry Ready.
The end objective of the whole summit is to arrive at solutions to raise the employability quotient of the students and to bridge the gap between the perceptions of the industry and academicians.
