ABOUT IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the largest technical professional association, headquarted in New York City, whose core purpose is to serve professionals involved on all aspects of electrical, electronic, computing, and all the related areas of science and technology that underlie modern civilization.

IEEE, read as "Eye-triple-E", was formed in 1963 from the union of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) and the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE), and is dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity. It has been long composed of engineers and scientists, allied professionals which include computer scientists, software developers, information technology professionals, physicists, and medical doctors; who strive to work towards the technological advancements for the benefit of the humans.

The IEEE is dedicated to promote technological advancements, innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.

VISION

IEEE strives to be universally recognized for its contribution towards technological innovations and for improving the global conditions through the work of technical professionals.
