Mechanical Production is the paramount part of Mechanical Engineering. Basic knowledge of machine design is tentative for people of all walks. This activity of proliferating the knowledge about the importance of machine design in mechanical industry, not only helped the students, but even the faculty members.

For this purpose, on behalf of Association of Mechanical engineers, MEF organized an Expert Talk Program for BE and ME final year students from Mechanical / Automobile engineering department and all faculties from Mechanical / Automobile engineering department. This program helped the students and faculty members to not only gain the formidable knowledge on importance of machine design in industry, but also turned out to be of a great help for the placement of final year students in Mechanical Design Industries. The students learned about various developments in the field of designing, which can we useful at the time of their job interview, so as to attain brownie points.

Prof. S.B. Soni sir is an honourable retired professor from Mechanical Engineering Department, L.D. Engineering College-Ahmedabad. Currently he’s collaborating work with many industries. He has done his M.Tech from IIT-Bombay in Production engineering. He has more than 40 years of teaching experience at UG and PG level in Government and other engineering institutes in Gujarat. He was written seven technical books for degree as well as diploma engineering students. He is the Technical Expert for providing solution to Industrial person of design and Engineering Students.

 

The expert talk was very informative and was fringing with the right blend of theoretical, as well as practical knowledge. He was able to strike the right cord by giving perfect illustrations, so that the students can well imagine the importance of Machine Design, in the present era. The course will surely help BE and ME final year students from Mechanical / Automobile engineering department, in aggrandizing their knowledge about the Machine Designing.
