About Department

The Department of Environmental Sciences & Engineering is an academic department, offering instruction and conducting research in the areas of Environmental Problems .It was established in year the 2011. Environmental Sciences is an interdisciplinary field concerned with the interaction of processes that shape our natural environment. The sustainable development of a liveable world for future generations is one of the core tasks of our society. With our expertise and commitment, our goal is to provide a significant contribution towards solving this task.

Department is having total of 8 faculties with minimum qualification of M.Tech from renowned institutes like Thapar University, L.D College of Engineering Ahmadabad, Anna Unversity, Saurashtra University, MLSU Udaipur. Laboratories of department are well equipped to provide practical knowledge to the students. Besides giving academic knowledge our department run Technical and Non-Technical club (Green Club) for the holistic development of students.

The Environmental Science and Engineering program reaches across traditional disciplinary boundaries in its aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of our complex environment and offer efficient and effective engineering solutions to environmental problems.

Aim of the Department

  • To develop as a centre of excellence in Environmental education and researches.

The academic program of the department contribute to fulfil the need of highly competitive, skilled and trained manpower in the areas of research, development, impact assessments, standards monitoring, management, conservation, legal measures, policy formulation, implementation and other relevant environmental fields. The department also pursues research relevant to local national, regional and global significance. Focus is also given to collaborative researches with national and international organizations and academic institutions.
