STTP ON FUNDAMENTAL AND TRENDS IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A short term training programme on fundamental and trends in additive manufacturing was held in Marwadi Education Foundation Rajkot in April 2016 and Basic Motive Behind Organizing This STTP is to Provide An Exposure To The Technocrats And Students About The New Technologies Related To Additive Manufacturing And Its Application For Different Purposes With Hands On Training.

In today’s world, producing better quality products with less cost, reducing lead times, improving customer’s delights have become the key requirement to remain competitive in the global market. To fulfill these requirements additive manufacturing (a.m.) provides a technological tool for making solid free form products. It is a manufacturing technique which has applications in all technical as well as non-technical fields. The products are made with the use of cad tools and then layer by layer addition of materials by using different a.m. technologies such as sla, sls and 3d printers etc.
The course is designed mainly about additive manufacturing to create general awareness among student’s researchers, faculty members and industry people. Participants will be benefited by the information about various research fields in the domain of additive manufacturing. in addition they will get hands an experience by converting their virtual designs to real models on fdm machine.
