Department of Electrical Engineering has organized a three day visit during 19th -21st July,2018 including 97 student of Electrical Engineering, three faculty member and four driver with two college bus at Om Electric- Ahmedabad, Sardar Sarovar Dam-Narmada and Atlanta Electricals, V.V.Nagar.
Prof. Dhiraj Shrimali, Prof.Jignesh koladiya and Prof. Purva Joshi accompanied with the student as a faculty coordinator during the visit.
Om Electricals, Ahmadabad Established in the year 2000. they are manufacturer and supplier of DC machine and Panels. They are also offer the Electrical panels with design consultancy and design power factor correction panels in a manner so that they cut down on electricity costs. They are also assemble various capacitors, MCB, MCCB and capacity duty contractors in APFC that acts as in-built protective devices to cut off power in case there is excess power in the system..
The Sardar Sarovar Dam, The hydropower is generated through the River bed power house (RBPH) and Canal Head Power House (CHPH). The RBPH which is located about 165meters downstream of the dam .It has six number of Francis type reversible turbine generators each of 200 MW installed capacity. The CHPH is a surface power station in a saddle dam on the right bank of the reservoir having installed capacity of 250 MW (5 x 50 MW).
