Laboratory for Control System Components consists of Advanced Pneumatic Trainer which provides a hands-on experience to the students in operation of various types of Control Valves used in Industrial Environment.

The laboratory also has kits and trainers for the study of principle and operation of Stepper and Servo Motors and thus helps in enhancing the overall practical knowledge of the students.

Process Control forms the core of any industry and it is imperative that students are adapt at the operation of different process control modes viz: Proportional, Integral and Derivative modes. The Process Control Lab in IC department consists of trainer kits for control of Level, Flow, Pressure and Temperature which exactly mimics the operation of PID controllers in Industrial environment.

The kits are also equipped with supporting SCADA software for overall monitoring and analysis of the process.

PLCs find applications in all industries ranging from small scale manufacturing units to large scale process and power plants. In light of the importance of PLCs in Instrumentation engineering, the laboratory for Programmable Logic Controllers includes a PLC programming trainer consisting of Allen Bradley Micrologix 1400: 1762 – L24 BXB PLC with a capability to interface 20 Digital inputs, 12 Digital Outputs, 4 Analog Inputs and 2 Analog Outputs.

Sensors form an integral part of control engineering. Applications of sensors have been increasing day by day and the Sensors and Applications Lab equips the students with requisite skills in sensors application and interface.
